When you listen, you gain from others

When you gain from others, you are more informed

When you are informed, you know more

When you know more, you do better

When you do better, you are recognized

When you are recognized, you start building a personality

When you have a good personality, you are respected and accepted

When you know you are accepted, you have self-confidence

When you are bold, you will try to attempt anything

When you attempt everything, you are vulnerable to failure

When you fail, you learn better

When you learn, you are more experienced

When you are experienced, you have an edge over others

When you have an edge over others, you are selected instead of them

When you are always selected over others, it means you’ve become people’s choice

When people choose you, you are likely to be hated by some

When some people hate you, you realize you can’t be loved by all

When you get to know that everybody cannot love you, you develop human management skills

When you can manage people, you will be able to elicit their strategies

When you can elicit their strategies, you can influence their thinking

When you can influence their thinking, you can decide their moods

When you decide their moods, you can lure them to obeying you

If people can obey your rules, you can lead them.

Hear this, to listen is one thing, to do is a better one. One of the important powers that great leaders have is the listening attitude, listening gives your internal an advantage from your external. If you want to know more or lead well, you must be a listening type.  As a success driven person, endeavor to listen not only to the people around you but also to your inner self and EVERYTHING that surrounds you. This is when you can be able to control what’s within and around you.

Note: Every successful person plays rules. It’s a rule to selectively decide for yourself what and who to listen to. Don’t just waste your time listening to what will not contribute to your success.
